Daily Devotion on Ephesians 3:2-12
Text: Ephesians 3:2-12
Do you like a good mystery? Most people do. There’s something exciting about reading a book or watching a movie that has twists and turns and surprises. There’s something exhilarating about making it to the end until the big truth is revealed.
Paul reveals a mystery to us today, a mystery that God had revealed to him. It’s surprising. It’s astonishing. It’s downright awesome. Here’s the big mystery that has been revealed . . . brace yourself . . . it’s amazing . . . here it is . . .
God’s salvation is for all people, including you and me!! That’s right. It’s not just for the Jews. It’s not just for the rich and famous. Salvation is for all people.
Here’s truth number two revealed by Paul: This salvation comes to all by faith alone in God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
It might seem like a simple truth. But to those who are blinded by the darkness of their sin–as we believers once were ourselves–this is indeed a great mystery. Give thanks to God then every day that he has revealed to us his Son Jesus, our Savior from sin!
Prayer: Lord God, I thank you for your holy Word through which you have revealed to me your Son Jesus. I praise you for your great wisdom in accomplishing salvation through your Son. I ask that you now use me in revealing this mystery to others. Amen.
