60 Day Bible Challenge: Day 16

With the New Testament finished, I started with the Old Testament today. I know this will be the biggest challenge. I purposefully started with the New Testament, knowing that I would be able to read a lot and read quickly. I also knew this would get me into the habit of reading a good portion every day.

But now the hard part. Anyone who has read through the Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy) before knows that it can be challenging. Parts of it can drag on as they are simply lists of family names or details about sacrifices or the tabernacle. These are also very large Bible books.

I suspect that the next 20 days of Bible reading will be the most challenging. But if I can get all the way through 2 Chronicles in the next 20 days, I’m quite sure I will easily be able to finish the whole Bible before the 60 days is up!

I’m looking forward to the challenge . . . and to reading God’s Word!

Day 16 Reading: Genesis 1-19

Day 16 Time: 53 minutes

Total Time to Date: 887 minutes
